<description>We just made the transition ourselves and I can't imagine having done it when she was 18 months old The first day time nap she got out a couple of times but we just had to put her back and remind her that it is "night night" time. The first night I did have to go in there and lie on her floor for about 15 minutes until she fell asleep. The second night she woke up at 5 a.m. and DH laid on her floor (actually he passed out there for about an hour). But ever since then she has been fine and naps have been great.
You're right she was probably just too young right now and you can try again later.
