An example of what happens when I try to plan – yesterday the plan was to get up, eat, be at the mall to walk the mall by 10 am; meet daddy for lunch at 12:30 quick trip to the library, nap short Korean New years celebration (including than-book pictures) , play dinner and bed time routine that is no where near what happened. Here is what really happened:
8:30 am Wake up (half can hour late and with no Pepsi in the house when I really need my caffeine)
9:00 am Little Man and Little Princess Dressed and ready –now mommy’s turn
9:30 am Should have been leaving for the mall but instead I was preparing the diaper bag, meals and trying to calm Little Man and Little Princess as they refused to play and just wanted to cry
10:00 am Should have been at the mall but I was just leaving after realizing that my last Etsy order had been forgotten by Aaron (who was supposed to take it to the post office) and we would need to mail it
10:15 a.m. Leaving for the mall after two complete meltdowns as I cannot carry them both to the car at the same time
10:30 am Finally arrive at the mall and meet Alison and her daughter
11:00 am Watch Little Man and Little Princess attempt to destroy the children’s clothing department at Kohl’s
11:30 am After cleaning up the mess it was on to Payless to try to find shoes for Little Princess where she threw her shoes and the shoe selection we showed her on the ground –can anyone say nap time
Noon Little Princess asleep, Little Man trying not to sleep – put daddy off for an hour and move lunch to the mall food court
1:30 p.m. Lunch w/ Daddy where we allowed Little Man to feed himself French fries (his new food obsession)
2:30 p.m. Finally leave the mall and head to the post office
2:45 p.m. Arrive at Post office
2:55 p.m. Finally make it inside the post office
2:57 p.m. Leave the post office - back to the car to take 10 minutes to get back in the car again (This is why Aaron was going to run this errand)
3:15 p.m. Arrive at the library watch Little Man melt down when he realizes I have no intention of reading all the books to him at that minute
4:30 p.m. Finally check out books (after cursing how few photography books the library really had)
5:00 p.m. Arrive home – watch Doodlebop DVD and have dinner
5:30 p.m. Have cuddle time with the Little Man and Little Princess
6:30 p.m. Realize Little Man and Little Princess are asleep (took them to bed for the night)
